We're on a mission to make a miracle every day. As a token of our appreciation for making 2010 an epic year, we're giving away a high-quality 320Kbps download every day this November. That's 30 days of Dead! Intrigued? We're also going to put your knowledge to the test and give you the chance to win some great music from the Dead.
                                                     + More Info
You know your Ables from your Bakers from your C's, but can your finely tuned ears differentiate the cosmic "comeback" tour from a spacey 70's show? Each day we'll post a free download from one of the Dead's coveted shows. Will it be from that magical night at Madison Square Garden in '93 or from way back when they were just starting to warm it up at Winterland? Is that Pigpen's harmonica we hear? Brent on keys? Step right up and try your hand.

Each day, the first person to guess the venue & date correctly will get a Road Trips of their choice. If you’re not first but you've answered correctly, you will also be automatically entered for a weekly prize of THE WARNER BROTHERS STUDIO ALBUMS VINYL BOX (EXCLUSIVE EDITION) or a FORMERLY THE WARLOCKS boxed set. Log in now and enter to win!

bdank9333 was the first person to answer correctly and will get to pick a Road Trips of their choice. You will be contacted within 5 business days with instructions on how to get your prize.
We haven't selected a winner for the week of 11/22 yet!

Where Are The FLAC DL's

Nice idea for the promotion. Sorry to hear about the US only limitation on the contest.

Too bad FLAC files aren't available. MP3's aren't highly regarded for "sonic quality".

CAN YOU ADD FLAC FILES AS AN OPTION??

If you miss a day

Ditto to the question about whether past mp3s will stay up since we all might miss a day or two

I had entry fail message too...but sent to admin by message

JoeCrowe,

I made the same submission, got the same message, and followed up with a message to the admin. Shortly after, these pages were unavailable to me, and I only just got back in. Drupal is the internet's Satan.

Yeah Fillmore East's 9/20/70 show had the same thumpy intro, soary guitar at about 23 seconds, and vocals at 1:14.

Hopefully, one of us is selected as the winner, based on which of us entered the correct answer first.

That is, if they can pull up our entry times, or figure them based on your comment and my message submission times.

Hey, and if not, at least we got to hear a great 70's Speedway.

Thanks Team Dead!
