Grateful Dead
30 Days Of Dead - November 23rd
+ More Info
You know your Ables from your Bakers from your C's, but can your finely tuned ears differentiate the cosmic "comeback" tour from a spacey 70's show? Each day we'll post a free download from one of the Dead's coveted shows. Will it be from that magical night at Madison Square Garden in '93 or from way back when they were just starting to warm it up at Winterland? Is that Pigpen's harmonica we hear? Brent on keys? Step right up and try your hand.
Each day, the first person to guess the venue & date correctly will get a Road Trips of their choice. If you’re not first but you've answered correctly, you will also be automatically entered for a weekly prize of THE WARNER BROTHERS STUDIO ALBUMS VINYL BOX (EXCLUSIVE EDITION) or a FORMERLY THE WARLOCKS boxed set. Log in now and enter to win! - Less Info
zebweber: " it's not listed in Deadlists - so I'm stumped ;( "
Yes it is.
Trying too hard to be first, and made a quick guess. A closer listen convinced me I'm wrong, and I think the actual date was the night before my 12th birthday. Hope that doesn't give it away!
These thirty days are flying by all too quickly. Thanks to dead.net and to Canyon Critter for the links and artwork.
Scarlet Begonias?
I mean really, that extra mouseclick on the scrollbar to get past the ascii-axe is soooooooo tedious, and the way all those bright trippy colors in the album art shock my eyeballs just when they are getting used to black text on a beige background - Ouch!

Hell, ya gotta put the links on every page, and people will still post a comment immediately afterwards asking "where's the links?". Ya just can't win LOL.
I wonder if the deadnetsters are pranking us again, with the Fillmore album art but saying "Three from the Vault" (which is BRIGHT RED in the Vault box set)
chastason... you're taking up waaaay too much space with the bitchin' posts. By the way, Canyon, WE LOVE YOU! Thanks for ALL the awesome artwork and ALL the generous download posting! You're a class act, all the way.

"...bound to cover just a little more ground..."
Every Monday here on Dead.Net David Lemiuex plays glimpses of sets straight from the Vault. This weeks Playin>UJB>Playin Jam from 1974 is really jazzy and full of Phil Bombs!
If you haven't got your fix of Vault stuff, they are archived too! You used to be able to download them, but now they only stream.
Also on Wednesday's David Gans post older Dead Hour Shows which are always fun!

Snow and ice here, which means a day off to listen to the Dead! Woo-hoo!
Nice choice today... always loved Dupree! Like to see Scarlet>Fire, Jack Straw, H>S>Franklin's, Eyes and BT Wind, but I'll take what I'm given and like it!
Much love to CC - keep those loooooooooong posts coming!
Peace and love to all! Yipee!
That sweet sweet jelly's so good. Love this tune. I was a little
surprised at how small the file was, and thought Ididn't have it
all, but I guess I do. 9.44 mb, at 4:07. Nice version. Thanks
again to Dead.net for doing this, and my hats off to Canyon
Critter for all the help with links, and the artwork.

...but Jerry's Playing an electric, not an acoustic, so I guessed later in the year. I still have no idea, tho.
