You know your Ables from your Bakers from your C's, but can your finely tuned ears differentiate the cosmic "comeback" tour from a spacey 70's show? Each day we'll post a free download from one of the Dead's coveted shows. Will it be from that magical night at Madison Square Garden in '93 or from way back when they were just starting to warm it up at Winterland? Is that Pigpen's harmonica we hear? Brent on keys? Step right up and try your hand.
Each day, the first person to guess the venue & date correctly will get a Road Trips of their choice. If you’re not first but you've answered correctly, you will also be automatically entered for a weekly prize of THE WARNER BROTHERS STUDIO ALBUMS VINYL BOX (EXCLUSIVE EDITION) or a FORMERLY THE WARLOCKS boxed set. Thanks Dave. I am a smiley John C today. Back when I did radio, I had a dead show, and worked the boys into the format with unusual frequency, and was known as John the Dead C by the other air personalities at the station. Thanks everyone. I'm sitting out today, so sift through the 587 Playin's with one less competitor for today's prize, the download is 28:56 long, and good luck everyone.
OK size matters ? Could you post the file size for each download. I have downloaded them several times and each time it's different. Had a few that cut off before songs ended.
Thanks great stuff.
"Check your email for instructions on how to get your prize."
I haven't received an email.
I'll try to fight my obsessive need to check the folder for the 1,000 time since 9AM.
If my close to 60 year old memory worked just a wee bit better I would have nailed that one -- right??
Thanks so much for this hot version-excellent playing by all, especially Jerry, who shows why he is considered such a grate guitarist.
How do you get one of the downloads from a previous day if you missed it that day?
Is there any way you can leave the songs up for the month? If I miss a day due to life's demands, then I can't hear the song...
