Grateful Dead
30 Days Of Dead - November 4th
+ More Info
You know your Ables from your Bakers from your C's, but can your finely tuned ears differentiate the cosmic "comeback" tour from a spacey 70's show? Each day we'll post a free download from one of the Dead's coveted shows. Will it be from that magical night at Madison Square Garden in '93 or from way back when they were just starting to warm it up at Winterland? Is that Pigpen's harmonica we hear? Brent on keys? Step right up and try your hand.
Each day, the first person to guess the venue & date correctly will get a Road Trips of their choice. If you’re not first but you've answered correctly, you will also be automatically entered for a weekly prize of THE WARNER BROTHERS STUDIO ALBUMS VINYL BOX (EXCLUSIVE EDITION) or a FORMERLY THE WARLOCKS boxed set. I just got a 16.1 MB "Playing in the Band" that is 6:41. It's clipped at the end, so I'm guessing I didn't get the whole thing. I think I'll come back in a couple of hours and see if the traffic lets up.
Thanks again for the activity. I'm having fun trying to guess!
before the new song link appears on this page???

The PITB I downloaded was only 8:49 minutes long. Is that right or should I try again?

The file was posted a little before 11CT.
28:57, 66.3MB
The file is 37.4 MB and the song is almost 16 min long. It is a tasty version. My money is on the second half of '72 but I'm not sure what show! And thanks ever so much to Canyon Critter for making available the first three dowloads. I had missed the 2nd day - Dark Star - seems like there was a lot going on that day!
The track I downloaded cuts out at the 14 and a half minute mark.
Must not be complete.
And, yeah, has to be pre 74.
