Grateful Dead
30 Days Of Dead - November 6th
+ More Info
You know your Ables from your Bakers from your C's, but can your finely tuned ears differentiate the cosmic "comeback" tour from a spacey 70's show? Each day we'll post a free download from one of the Dead's coveted shows. Will it be from that magical night at Madison Square Garden in '93 or from way back when they were just starting to warm it up at Winterland? Is that Pigpen's harmonica we hear? Brent on keys? Step right up and try your hand.
Each day, the first person to guess the venue & date correctly will get a Road Trips of their choice. If you’re not first but you've answered correctly, you will also be automatically entered for a weekly prize of THE WARNER BROTHERS STUDIO ALBUMS VINYL BOX (EXCLUSIVE EDITION) or a FORMERLY THE WARLOCKS boxed set. Oh please fix this. I'm only getting around 4 Meg of the song before the download stops.
What an awesome version from what I have heard.
Thank you all so much for this GREAT music!!!!!!!!
Wait a few hours for the Saturday traffic, when everyone's home from work syndrome, blows over. If you can't wait for the music, then you'll have to clear your browsers cache and try, try again to download the whole thing.
Here's the links from the Downloads so far. Hope this helps everyone out that didn't get the shows. Love is Real♥....

It takes multiple tries to get some of these -- or to get COMPLETE downloads, that is -- and CC's right about clearing your download cache after each attempt, but for some reason I just can't get a complete Speedway. Every single time it comes up as 19.7 MB / 20,237 KB (instead of 23.0 MB / 23,574) but it seems like you just have to poke around and keep on trying.
What a great bunch of tracks, and what a great way to get folks more involved here. Thanks, Dead.net!

Thanks guys- especially you Canyon critter as I was able to download it from your link as well as speedway boogie which I missed.
also thanks for providing the dates and shows, as it seems to be nowhere on the site.
greatly appreciated
Thanks to Canyon Critter for the Links. Unbelievable JOY!
This is mid to late '80's ~ I'd guess 87 or 88. Interesting double-track of Jerry's vocal on the last verse, haven't heard that before.
Love hearing Brent's organ flourishes on this song.
Not sure what everyone's problems are but CC's links are flawless. I've had to try 2 or 3 times with the direct dead.net links but CC's are clean and quick.
As mentioned, if it keeps crappin' out, clean your browser cache and try again. Also, try Firefox instead of M$ Explorer - seems a bit more stable,
Finally, the "file properties" for a complete Sugaree should be 24,586,499 bytes.
Good luck and thanks again CC!!
What a long strange trip.....

Perseverance and persistance has kept my iTunes folder complete so far on this project, despite the poor delivery service that dead.net has been able to provide. So far, the only "miracle every day" is to receive a complete download on the first try.
It's more than ironic that a promotion that is obviously designed to create traffic for downloaded music to this site succeeds more in illustrating to the core customer base that dead.net is currently unable to manage the level of traffic they've created themselves. Hopefully they'll solve the problem before December and the Xmas buying season rolls around.
