Thank you for playing 30 Days of Dead. The answer to this day's contest is:
Boston, MA, Boston Music Hall
06/12/1976
From the comeback tour in the Summer of 1976, this is from the final night of the four night stand at the Boston Music Hall. This show was originally broadcast on the radio, but this recording, of course, is from the Grateful Dead’s master tapes.
We'll be contacting the winner shortly.

My comment got into the wrong day, not sure how.
... I know it's virtually impossible to know. However, how many daily entries do you think they receive each day .. like the total number received (right or wrong) and/or total number w/ correct answer?
it would be great to see those stats posted. we do love to study ourselves, don't we .... (~);-}
Listen to the mix. It's from 1976.
Tough beans!
No link to the songlist this time, the captcha corps didn't like it at all and locked me out in the hall.
Jerry used the guitar rig heard here for only a very short period of time. After that, he went back to the Fender Twin.
I think I got this one based on the clues but archive.org isn't working for me today. Didn't totally get the Shakedown references though...
Going by the clues, I'm pretty sure I have it, but don't get the Shakedown references either. In looking for this one I realized for the first time how often they played some songs in this period, so the hints are definitely appreciated. Heck, it looks like they played Lightning>Supplication every night there for a while! Even the Mission references didn't definitively nail it down, since I see they played that song twice in this particular run. So in honor of this show taking place on my 16th birthday, here are a couple of more clues: It was raining on more than the mission, and there came a time when everyone had a high time.
I haven't got any of these right, 22 for 22 100%
I had the year right- could not put it together until I read the hints,
The trick is that there is no Jerry lead in the opener
Musical fruit.
The boys played several shows consecutively and this recording is from the last show they played at that venue for that particular tour.
Thanks for the hints...I've been in the hospital all day with my wife (she's fine now) so I didn't have the time to do proper research. Your clue allowed me to find the lightning fast!
Water's only dirty from all that tea that was dumped in it.
beans...
Little bowl of inspiration, sparking my imagination...
I never thought about it, but that's a stoner's anthem if there ever was one!
EDIT: now wait a minute - it's "bolt of inspiration" - oh, well, it's an electrician's anthem I guess... ;)
Yes that was tougher than the Peggy-O. Funny how that works. It's the ones that you think will be easy that are the hardest and the ones that seem insurmountable that end up being a breeze. A couple of obvious differences between this and all the others. It just took a while to find. My record remains alive at 22-0.
just to have one dream come true....
Oh how I love listening to these shows, well I guess it's because I love that dirty water. GREAT choice Dave! Having so much fun.
Got to school today and randomly chose "Dick's Picks Volume Three" to play before class, which just so happens to have a nice Lightning>Supp. It was this week last year that I was a weekly winner in the 30 Days contest. All together, it's a sign that this will be a great Thanksgiving holiday. All the best to everyone!
Nothing really stands out in this version, as far as I can tell. I think I have the year right, tho.
Man those were the days. Sparkle my imagination. Nice selection. Was thinking we needed some rockin Bobby to the lineup!
That was the hardest one yet for me.
This is from 1976-79. Extended jamming and Donna vocals plus one very large clue
makes this one almost impossible to miss. Happy hunting!
should make this one stand out in a crowd of Lazy>Supps - you just gotta poke around :)
The site wouldn't take my guess, so I'll try again once I get to work - and listen to the whole show!
EDIT: Success! Guess has been placed - well, it's not a guess - it might be without the aid of my trusty Deadbase and Deadlists sites :)
Is that the "Merry Go Round" tuning Bobby toys with?
in another killer show
tho there haven't been any of the extra little goodies like last year (did we ever decide whether those were mistakes or purposeful?), this year's set list has had some seriously powerfully gorgeous stuff !!!
this one's yet another.
thankfullness to the band and everyone involved. and keep it up !!
