my first guess in the game....
1974-05-17 - P.N.E. Coliseum
actually i'm already a winner. only one more song away from winning the coolest most entertaining 30 song collection ever, what will i look forward to come thursday morning? thanks so much for offering the 30 days of dead and i'm hopeful the artwork will continue. speaking of free music here is arlo guthrie singing alice's restaurant 30 years later, hope it's ok to post here, copy/paste link....
http://8thmob.org/audio/ArloGuthrie-AliceRestaurant_30YearsLater_.mp3
just added 30 yrs later version to the Alice's Restaurant cd bringing it to 57.4 minutes long, perfect for burning!
thanks dead.net, the past30 days has taught me everything i needed to know for editing tracks/albums/etc.... in itunes.
I have just been downloading the songs, but figured I shouldn't pass on this one... an early Christmas gimme??? 1974-05-17 - P.N.E. Coliseum
and one of my favorite China Riders. Now, what was that segue jam called again?
This would be a great release. Fingers crossed....
what's really weird (in addition to the gimme) is that this came up as track #18, rather than #29. that's the track # in the setlist.
looking forward to this release!
Wonder if this is a slip from the first Dave's Picks? Looking at the info panel on iTunes, it automatically loads with an album indicating the date and venue. Would certainly be a great choice for a complete release.
haha!!
free hoodies for everyone!!!
Does anyone else ever get bummed out by the fact that they never played Unbroken Chain during the these tours? Every time I hear a show from this year, I try to imagine the incredible performances that could have been woven into a set list. Hmm...
what distortion and would it be intentional?
I don't hear anything.
There is only one year with this unmistakably mammoth sound. The Call of the Wall.
when i should have been going up. on my list that is. i was almost a year off on my initial pick but went the wrong way lookin, had to do a u turn but finally got a hold of that northbound train. took a little longer than it should have, but what else am i gonna do with my time, besides sift through the archives. can't think of anything better.
-funny i thought jerry was gonna bust into a little workin on the railroad during the transition for a second or two.
Check out Road Trips Vol. 2 No. 3, Jerry goes for the full workin on the railroad riff.
Plus the whole China/Rider worth hearing (again & again...)
but now shit i have to buy another disk. just blew a ton on 4 road trips (vol 2 no.3 wasn't one of them) and signing up for the new daves picks so i can get that mystery bonus disk- they always seem to be pretty sweet. this is what happens when you spend too much time in the archive vault, you just want more more more. well i guess i dont need to eat next week. (at least i lucked out and won a cheesy but very very much appreciated shirt, plus got a nice mix of new tunes to play)
been lots of fun playing the game with everybody,
you can just leave the europe 72 set on the back porch....
peace!
my download shows the venue & date when played
That happened once last year. I had it narrowed down to the year, but spent some time listening to some fine China/Riders before submitting my (correct) guess. When I went to paste into iTunes, it was already there! LOL.
I did at least a triple check when I opened this in iTunes, as I was prepared to paste in the name, only to find it there.
Did Dave think we needed a gimme? Eh, still an awesome download!
Thanks again Dave!!!
ahh now i see
didn't even notice.
these posts will self destruct in ......
Haha, thanks 3Phase!
If you can't find this one, I suggest just downloading it and checking it out again!
I like the somewhat Uncle John's tease in the transition (which I don't believe they made good on until 9 shows later in Miami...)
Also, I'm hoping there's some truth to the text file for today!!
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11423787/3Phase/30%20Days%20Of%20Dead%20Song%20List%20-%202011.txt
This one's almost too easy....
Really? I'm pretty sure I know when this show happened as far as year but the time that I'm thinking has all been released (and is no longer available on archive.org...)
Any clues?
any word on the final artwork for the 30 in 30 downloads? i realize it may have been dropped for a project that produces cash.......please just let us know what is up thanx for the tunes
I don't mean to be greedy, this 30 Days is a great blessing, but it sure would be nice to get the rest of the cover layouts. Thanks very much to whoever is doing that.
"...meet you some morning in the sweet by and by..."
Isn't it on the download page, to the right of the download? unless you're looking for something else. ??
i only see vol 1 and 2 fronts and the first volume back.
just been waiting patiently....
i guess i could just write them down
with distorted guitar {Bobby}? at 07:45?
The high end to me seems boosted until ~07:49, then the sound 'cleans up' for a bit.
It comes and goes like interference or there's a quasar behind it or something.
I got 13:33 and no on the dist. guitar.
