The music of The Grateful Dead is meant to be shared and enjoyed by everyone. That's why we created the 30 Days of Dead. We at Dead.net realize that it was sometimes a little tougher than it should have been for you to download the music (especially that first week - sorry!), so we thought it only right that we give everyone a second chance to get every minute of the music. It's the kind thing to do. |

Well, after blowing 2 hard drives in less than a month, I finally have d/l each of the songs and the killer graphic kit. Thanks Dead.net for allowing these down loads to stay up long enough for me to get them. What a great treat this is and it captures quite the spectrum of Deadology. Kind wishes and karma to all.
Thank You very much!

Overwhelming! Awesome! Thank You! PEACE!
While of course this gift is sweet, I've gotta question why the files have no embedded ID3 tags. No track names, date of the show, venue. etc. It's a shame! I'll be manually entering all the info from this web page into my copies but many others won't. Those blank tracks will pass on to new future fans who won't learn where and when they came from. Bummer.

I must extend my thanks to all involved in providing us with this wonderful archive of music. At first I was disheartened by being one of those who were unable to download the tunes, but when the promotion ended and the songs were all posted up here I noticed something that I had not previously suspected: although the songs are all presented in MP3 format, the file sizes are so large that they could only be UNCOMPRESSED MP3s (i. e., just as good as getting them as FLACs). Sure enough, when I downloaded them all and burned them onto five CDs, I played the discs back and found that they had excellent audio quality (at least, they do on the tracks which benefitted from more modern recording technology--the earliest songs, of course, have lower quality due to more primitive recordings).
It's like getting a full box set for free. Happy holidays to one and all!!!
