someone appears to have had a classic stoner moment!!
I have only missed day 1 was off by a couple months hope I can keep it going all month long :)
maybe to appease for last nights hidden morsel
happened to find it because i'd figure i'd find it quicker by searching for other acoustic songs.
eliminate all those pesky electric versions - eww
setlist.net didn't list the show due to the first two songs not being on the setlist.
i guess it does pay off to just poke around. (think i might have heard that somewhere)
this one gets the toes a tappin
I can't believe how few people are actually aware of and use deadlists.com.
I thought that I recognized this one right away. I know I've heard it before. Just can't find a match to go with the clue.
Deadlists is excellent - but not always perfect when it comes to timings...
How do you see timings on Deadlists? The only way I've found is by clicking into each individual show. Is there a better way?
And another easy answer - not much poking around today. This syncs up perfectly with the archive version too. Looks like a great show for the time period. Looking forward to hearing the whole thing. Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart!
Certainly shaved off a few years' worth (and likely hours) of searching through the Vince years. Very enjoyable, peppy version. Jerry and the boys are in fine form out of the gate. I will definitely listen to the rest of this show.
Glad I found this one quickly for a change. It's only 6:30 am. I can get some more sleep. A rare Beatles tune in this set. I'll poke around some more when I wake back up.
In this show...
Nice to actually get a hint- no, two! - finally from Dave.
Not in this same set. But back in the day of cassettes (and sometimes CDRs) some rearranging of track order was... in order.
My last show )-:
Where is everyone searching for the sets?
these are .org .net (a book) .com respectively
there are other sites to search...just put gd setlists or archive in search engine
Gotta have a Deadbase (book). And along with sites already mentioned, deadlists.com has been really helpful for me.
Each site has particular ways of helping. For example, relisten.net was the ticket for me yesterday.
Part of the fun is poking around. Enjoy!
Found this one pretty easily....part of a nice run of shows on this tour. Interesting setlist.....looking forward to listening to this one in full today.....I'm 7of 8 on the contest, but I'm 8 of 8 on listening to the whole show where the selection was taken (after today). I love November, but my boss doesn't like it much!
Edit: I am self employed, but also married
An easy answer here. Staggering how good the boys played on this part of the tour.
This could be only one of 26 or so shows so it was relatively easy to find. Ends up I was at this and recorded it on Sony d5 and d7. Last run at ....
Yesterday was a fail for me and I even have Deadbase 50 but it wasn't only not in every time played, it wasn't listed in the setlist either. Batman butler clue was all I could go on but it went over my head. At 1 in the morning I decided it was bedtime.
It was hard … the year was clear. Relisten.net was a big help.
. . . was the ticket for me, too.
Gotta check the DB50 Updates at front.
Yes,I've got one at last 😃
Some good clues here helped me thanks guys 👍
It's fun when you find the pot of gold, huh!
stop calling them hints. they're simply factoids.
(general comment, not directed at any poster)
would be proud to discodance to this one. My boogie was a little off on this one, causing me to do some unnecessary poking around, even with the obviously limited number of date choices. But it eventually boogied on over to my side of the dance floor and showed me the way!
A damn good opener from a good run of shows on the opposite coast - and once again Dave plucks the juicy plum from the bunch. Thanks!
Still, the jump from the acoustic Rider to this is a bit much (both in time and temperament). And, maybe it's just me, but seven Shakedowns in seven years yet only one Wharf Rat??
Especially now, we all could use more "trips", please!
Wow, thank you all. Never heard of Relisten.net. Now I have more to fill my ears.
I'm better then 50%, 5 for 8. Yesterday was tough got the year, but did not find that show. Listened to it today, very enjoyable
Thanks for being KIND all.
Man, much easier today. I don't know what happened yesterday. My immediate thought was hey, this has got to be 1970, sounds around the same time as Harpur, etc etc. I went through 1970 (and 69 and 71 to be sure) twice. Somehow, I have no idea, I missed it. Then I broke my brain looking through things like the 1980 acoustic shows and eventually gave up. Oh well, got it today!
I guessed it! I guessed it!! That was a difficult one yesterday and how I ever matched it, I'll never know. Okay, so it took me about 5 hours... LOL I had fun with it. My sister explained, however, it ends east coast time, to ensure my submittals make it. I will not be making that mistake again...
All ya need. And a good ear too, but we are Dead fans we all have wonderful ears!!
I’m spreading the news that this was my birthday and just 14 years after my first show.
Ripper shakedown shaking my arthritic bones down here in Aussieland!
Pretty sure that I got this one, thank you Dead Base 50! Which is the best purchase of my adult life!
