Sure makes it easier to narrow down the search when it's more than 1 song. No one is complaining, though. I was hoping we'd get a Cassidy this year; this combo makes the pot sweeter. Wish my wife would rock some red ribbons in her hair now and then.

I take it you mean Pig lead vocals, since we have had three selections from 1969-70. This comes up most every year, that there are few Pigpen-sung songs that are not cover versions. (Note that unless a cover is in the Public Domain (e.g. New Minglewood Blues), Dead.net is reluctant to include it in 30 Days due to copyright/royalties laws.) And those that are originals (e.g. Easy Wind, Operator) only were performed a few times. (30 Days to date includes three Easy Wind, one Operator.)

Chinatown Shuffle, Mr. Charlie, and The Stranger (Two Souls in Communion) were played during Europe '72, but of course all of those shows have been released.

Check out the opener at this show. Not a lot of candidates for this one. If you get frustrated searching, be relentless... and when you find it, raise the flag!

one cup of coffee, a close listen to two, and I think I got it. A great show from one of my favorite years. I love this game -

Hope everyone has a great thanksgiving!

The drummers sound especially sweet on this one with a millisecond delay in the sync :)

While I never saw the full fledged Dead play here, I did see post-Dead iterations at this venue. Stunning, fantasy space for a show.

m-skjellyfetti, thank you! I was having trouble knocking it down to a year(s) and that hint at the end helped me pare it down. Wow, what a great set. I'll have to see if I can find a way to Iko Iko all day!

not that it helped me find it, but it wasn't very hard given the tools and clues at hand

Man that’s one tight, crisp Cassidy. Haven’t heard it before - Jerry was really dialed in.

Went off your hint and didn't even listen to a note, thanks so much. What a magical place to see a show. Been there a bunch myself!

Deadlist only shows 4 tape choices for todays answer with only one SBD that is way off on the pitch. Relisten has 7tape choices that 4 will sync up with todays download perfectly. Some nice clues on this Cassidy but passed it over at first due to the Deadlist choices. With only 7 dates, it was another fast pick

When the Rain comes, they run and hide their heads…
I’m usually a Here Comes Sunshine kind of person……BUT NOT TODAY!! SOOOO ecstatic about the first rain here in the Bay Area & northern California! Brings tears actually. The fires here have been so heartbreaking and devastating and we’ve lost so many. We’ve been doing our rain dance for days, weeks, months, and today the heavens opened! Deep Gratitude for Mother Earth and her bounty. May we care for her with great love.

RAIN…the weather’s fine!
Today I’m cheering & dancing & smiling as big as the sound of this crowd hearing the first Dead Rain (see encore):

Glad you're getting some relief up there. We are supposed to get it later tonight down here in West Hills around the Southern burn areas. Fortunately not too much so mudslides shouldn't be a problem.

Sweet guitar playing by Jerry, but boy, his voice sounds pretty ragged on this one.

Got this one on the first try, thankfully. I spent eight hours on the road heading to upstate NY to visit family, and I was really hoping for a slam dunk. I didn't have a lot of time, and have only my PDF of Deadbase. What a sweet version of Cassidy, too.

Wishing everyone a happy thanksgiving!

Brent's harmonies -- crazyyyy .......
And then start again ... and focus on Phil....

250+ songs over 8+ years. Now there's something to be thankful about. If I'm correct, looking through the lists so far, not a single Wharf Rat or Standing on the Moon. Just saying'.
