now that's how you end a 30 days
what an awesome pile of music to play with we got this go around
have a great year everybody
peace and rock on
Thanks very much to all the team at Dead.Net, who put this together every year and also my thanks to all those fellow travellers who have posted clues. Can't believe that November has been and gone for another year. Just got to keep on truckin' on and make it through to next year with soul and mind intact! And until then.....
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind always be at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rain fall soft upon your field
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Feels good to be home after a 30 days journey. Thanks Dave and All. Enjoy the season. Just like that...how does the song go....
Hard to believe that 30 Days, 2018, has come and gone, my oh my......😞 A big ' thank you' to everyone that made this possible....living in the UK I can't join in the quizzes, but it's still fun to guess...and to read all the comments from all the knowledgeable people the next day.! Thanks, guys and gals.
It’s been another Fun year. Already looking forward to next year. Have a great year everybody, and see you all in 335 days! 30 lucky souls can mark it on their new calendars!!
This was my 1st year doing it day by day,had lots of fun and can't wait until next year, now it's time to prepare for summer tour! 2 days at the Gorge my dreams have come true, see you there!
Once again, 30 days and NO Pigpen. Disgraceful...………….
Rock on suckers,
I love November. To greet the new day with a little Dead live love. I suck at searching and guessing, but I use the archives to listen to the entire concert for the day. Except yesterday, I listened to 11/29/80, my one and only Miracle concert from Gainesville and what a show it was. 38 years ago...Wow!
Thanks guys and gals for the 30 days of Dead. A daily dose is what we need in these crazy times. I hope some of our troops away from home got to listen. Peace Out!
Hey now I was at that show it was my last dead show in Florida with the yetays because I moved to Vegas. That was a killer show it still plays in my head. Glad you got a miracle that day. Are you from Gainesville? We lived in Daytona yetay was in school there he became a Pharmacist in 1984 and retired this year. Glad to have this Strangers meeting Strangers just to shake their Hand. yetay
someone needs to fix this issue of a venue being called one thing on Dead.net and another thing on Archive.org and to make it even more confusing on Dead.net it says its called one thing but the ticket stub shows another,so I googled it and the ONLY ticket stub calling it this name is on Dead.net Yet every other ticket stub show the name so I went with that name, also the name that's in Deadbase 50
...Feels like it might be alright. Thoroughly enjoying this final 30 DoD 2018 selection. There's some nice MIDI action going on which helps narrow down the era. Talk about going out with a bang! Alas, no Pigpen songs this year. I feel ya Haight, this venue name problem comes up multiple times every year and needs a fixin'. Like someone said, hopefully Dave & Co. consider all the Heads who got the correct date AND one of the several venue name offerings.
I'm gonna miss this. Everyone have a good time all the time and we'll see everyone back here next year. Peace!
for the joy that is 30 Days of Dead!
Another 30 days - I love November, sad to see it go. Just a reminder you can get all of this year's songs, and all of the last 8 years' 30 Days songs, at
I'll have all 30 zipped up in one neat package including cover art, a text file of each song and date/venue, (along with a CSV of same in case anyone else is a databaser), early tomorrow morning, (Dec. 1st). Right now, all the tunes are up and available for individual download. Here's to the *amazing* tunes we got this year! Happy holidays, and also, here's to a great 2019 - cheers!
Thank You !
My first 30 Days of Dead! Now I can't wait until next year. It ends on my Birtday, I cannot think of a better count down– way to celebrate.
Wow! The longest 30 Days of Dead yet coming in at 6 hrs 52 min 46 sec.
(Makes up for 30 Days of Dead 2015 at only 4 hrs 42 min 18 sec...not that I'm complaining. Any free Dead is a blessing.)
Total time of the 2016 30 Days was 6:58:19 (I just re-added and confirmed!)
I only got a total of 6:52:59 in VLC. How strange.
And of course, we finish off with another venue confusion, but I went with what was printed in my DeadBase 50. Would have loved to have seen this run of shows, but alas, I was only 16 and I could have never travelled across the country back then, even though I had a few days off.
Thanks to Dave and crew for putting this together. It's always a pleasure!
This is a combination they played more than I would have thought together.
Thanks for once again a great 30 Days, see you all next year.
WIll we be able to go back and get the downloads missed this month?
Scroll down to the bottom part of this page to find the downloads you missed.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to the powers that be for allowing us the fans to enjoy another year of "30 Days of Dead". I truly love being able to hear stuff I might not otherwise have heard if it wasn't for you. Have a joyous holiday season & hopefully we'll see you in 2019
Thanks. I usually wait till the end and scoop them all. Was getting concerned I couldn't find them. Cheers
Thank you so much for another great 30 days of November!! See you again next year!
Already can't wait for next November. Thank you, for a real good time.
30 days and not one Pigpen? I protest...but thank you for an otherwise grate 30 days!
Thanks for a wonderful 30 Days - Love that we are ending on an EPIC JAM.
Thanks to Dave & Co.
Also thanks to all the usuals that i have looked forward to texting with since last year. This would be my 5th year doing the 30 and never had such a good time. Was great to c all the newbies learning their way around as well. I have an amazing almost 7 hours that will make an awesome road trip...with my housemate just getting the phish bakers dozen, we are now ready for adventure.
Bye, See all of you in 11 months
Only six to even consider with this song sequence so this was a quick one. As much as i love all the main favourites..china/rider, help/franklin, scarlet/fire, ujb...looking over all the past years, these have been the most gifted to us. It would be nice to get more of the rarely played or rare for 30 Days, such as Reuben & Cherise. This has been a great 30 Days...maybe the greatest, and I hate to see it end and although I didn't win (so far), I gained more for the participation and the joy (and frustration) of the search. (~);} "Let There Be Songs To Fill The Air" and hope you all have a merry one
I can't remember now if I was at this show, or just the last two in the run. The fog of time. Have a safe and prosperous year everybody. May the four winds blow you safely home. See you all here again on my next birthday (the big one!). Thanks for another grate month of tunes, Dave. I hope will have some great surprises up your sleeve for the tenth anniversary of 30 Days of Dead. Peace.
The Complete Recordings Box...Every show Shall Be Released.
It would be special if i could finally win on my birthday.Peace Out!
Agreed! I was just glad I got a song I really like (Scarlet Fire) on my b-day. Thanks to Dave and All involved. Give the man who's been begging for Terrapin station a taste next year! Peace all! See some of you at Gillette this June!
Pretty good year. Nice job Dave & Co. Thanks again to all and enjoy the rest of 2018. Just a bump in case anyone missed the comment yesterday that I have a comprehensive spreadsheet for tracking all of the 30 Days. Just PM me with your email if you'd like it. And in following a suggestion earlier, i'll try to put it up on Google drive for sharing. You'll have to download it and open it up through Excel, otherwise the sort buttons won't work.
Wow man..you really did a GREAT job on this spreadsheet...you must've put in lotsa time and love on this. THANK YOU for your efforts and for sharing
Great spreadsheet! Thanks for sharing it, I PM'd you.
For sharing your spreadsheet/file. Absolutely grate work and I truly appreciate your kindness!
Thanks Dave and Crew! Another excellent 30 day series. A compilation of all years of the 30 Days tracks makes for the most excellent GD mix tape. I have a folder with all the tracks and I just hit random when I don't have a particular show or tour I'm listening to! Peace!
But it was a fine ride.
Good stuff once again Dave. Thanks!
See y'all next year.
Thanks again DAVE, and GD family & all my fellow travelers for another stellar 30 Days of Dead! I always smile more in the month of November than any other because of you. Thanks for that gift!
Peace, love and light to all!
Thanks for another fun November. I didn't get to play as obsessively as I have in the past, but it was still great on the days I got to play. See ya next year.
I posted this yesterday, but just a reminder that the "Unofficial 31 Days of Dead" starts tomorrow if you want to keep listening for a while longer. ;) FYI, here's some info:
The Unofficial 31 Days of Dead is back again this year!
Our fellow traveler, Ed, puts this together every year after 30DoD is over. Starts Dec 1st. No contest, or search, or hunt, but he offers another month of awesome downloads & camaraderie to help us carry over from the fun of 30 DoD. Here's a link and the scoop from his post:
“Annnnnnnnd, we’re back. Hello, friends! As the “Official 30 Days of Dead” draws to a conclusion I am getting excited to begin posting my daily selections for the Unofficial 31 Days of Dead in December as I have done in past years.
In case you are unfamiliar with the “Unofficial 31 Days of Dead” here is a description of what it's all about: . . . “
Hey now Deadheads ain't it great we are Deadheads I am honored to be a Deadhead would not have it any other way (1972 and still enjoying the ride. First show 3/19/1973 Nassau Coliseum. You all have a Grateful Holiday and a Yetay New Year. yetay
Dave you out did yourself again thank you and everyone that help put this together. Grateful yetay
Wow! I first got on the bus in August of 1972 and my first show was 3/19/73. After that run I never again went to the Nassau Coliseum; I hated that place. The next time someone asks me why I spent so much time, money and energy seeing the Dead I'll play today's version of Crazy Fingers. If that can't explain it nothing can.
Yes, it has been fun. Thank you so much for a half hour's worth of tasty goodness to let us down easy.
I love the sound of cowbells in the morning! And that's two out of the last three mornings. Most of the tracks I listened to finding this one didn't replicate those cowbells nearly as well as the version here on Dead.net. Smiling about more venue name Tomfoolery, but I think Dave likes to keep us on our toes.
What a grate way to send out November 2018! Can't wait for 2019. Archive will get a gift from me this holiday season. Thanks so much to Dead.net and David Lemieux for sharing all this wonderful music.
