epub version of almanac

The Epub version tries to put a lot of crap on my computer. Wasted about an hour trying to download a reader and then removing the junk it put on my machine. Use the pdf version. I cannot believe that dead.net is going the epub route on it's followers. Very disappointed on getting sold down the river!

Looking forward to 5/14/74: what else will fill the 2014 quartet?

epub

I downloaded the epub file on a Samsung tablet, but on my reader the illustrations show only a small part of the picture. I'll see if the .pdf file works better.

I apparently have no fear of committment when it comes to Dave!

jp, you might have found valid purchase for critiquing the selection with substantive analysis, as did Dwork in The Deadhead's Taping Compendium (see, p.522).

Having never heard the show, I was initially discouraged by this assessment until actually listening to about 45 min. of the outrageously crisp Miller SBD on archive.org* - as well as reading some of the attendant reviews (i.e., "No question about it - this is the BIG TIME"); though it must absolutely be my last cash-based musical acquisition for the next 12 months (this after ordering The Smiths' box on amazon today...)/K...nuthin' left to do but :) :) :)

Great news

14 May '74? Something unheard from the Pigpen era? Sounds awesome.

It's one thing to want '80s and '90s shows to be released but blatant hostility, such as expressed by jpreston, is bizarre. As is repeated here regularly, if you don't like it, don't buy it. There's no need for gnashing of teeth. Just listen to your '80s and '90s tapes.

How can you be against 70's Dead?

Makes little sense, I agree.

I saw the band about 130 times, beginning in 1972.
Only went to 10 shows during the entire decade of the 80's,
because they were so hit and miss. I know that they did some
great shows over those 10 years, but it was just not like the
early years.

But, if you were a Head who came of age during the Eighties,
you might want many of those shows to be officially released.
Stands to reason...

Where oh where is that Almanac?

Hmmm, I pressed the download button for the Almanac, watched it download,
and now can't find it anywhere on my computer. Very weird!

I really don't understand that attitude.
