great capper to an amazing weekend
As I already said on the Saturday show’s page, this was a special weekend and the St Pete scene was fantastic. This is, IMO, the best show of that weekend. I remember I had some sort of euphoric outburst during Terrapin. I walked out of this small arena after Quinn the Eskimo, on a Sunday night in Florida, a full-blown Deadhead. I think we headed back up to school in Gainesville at some point the next day.

I'm pretty sure this show was the better of the two-night run. I don't have a strong memory of it but I will check it out on Archive. It was my penultimate show. I lost track of them for a couple of years and then, even though not a huge Brent fan, could not imagine them without him. I went to one more (4/9/91) and was so disappointed I didn't even go down the street to see them with the Black Crowes in '95. I regret not going to that even if the show was terrible.

This was the last time I travelled to see the boys. I had basically been turned off by the scene of ticketless people but had a good friend I needed to travel once with and boy did we choose the right shows. Both sets of this show were excellent and Florida was a perfect place to let go. Unforgettable To lay Me Down.
