    excellent Trio of shows
I attended and taped every Dead show @ alpine valley as well as dozens of other shows including Stevie Ray Vaughn 08.26.1990. 06.22.1991 was the first show dead show I attended without taping since 1979 and the first show of my last tour. Our first stop this week is at Alpine Valley on 6/21/85, the start of the Dead’s short but excellent summer tour of 1985, where we have the end of the show featuring Space > Truckin' > Black Peter > Around And Around > Sugar Magnolia, Baby Blue.

Next is the start of the second set, also from Alpine, three years later on 6/19/88, where we haveFoolish Heart > Playing In The Band > Uncle John's Band. This is the first live performance of Foolish Heart.

Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 6/22/91, the Grateful Dead’s first-ever show at Soldier Field in Chicago. From this excellent show, we have Foolish Heart > Looks Like Rain > Crazy Fingers> Dark Star tease > Playing In The Band > Terrapin Station > Jam.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
