    Last show to first show
This was mine. 18 years old freshman. I had no idea what to expect and it blew my mind and the rest is history for me. I saw some 30-40 shows after and it was definitely a long strange trip!

    Nevilles
The Neville Brothers opened this show, first time I ever heard them and have been a huge fan since. The Dead opened with Hey Pockey Way as a nod to them (I believe the 1st time Brent sang the opener). Didn't go to the NYE show so this was the end a wild West Coast trip for me.

This show was a big disappointment. Seems they were testing out the video equipment in preparation for the nationwide cable broadcast for New Year's, and something wasn't quite right with the sound. Kept hearing popping in the speakers, and it seemed to distract the band. Curiously, the show was not as bad as I initially thought after I heard some of the tapes. Still, it was my least favorite show of 1987.
