    January 26 - February 1, 2015

Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have music covering 20 years of Grateful Dead history, from 1969 to 1989, with a stop in the middle in 1981.

Our first selection is the huge second set sequence from 11/7/69 at the Fillmore Auditorium, featuring three of the biggest jamming songs of the era: Dark Star>That's It For The Other One>Lovelight. This was the night before the majestic show that would become Dick's Picks Vol. 16.

Next up, from 12 years later, is music from the start of the second set on 5/11/81 in New Haven, CT, featuring Scarlet Begonias> Fire On The Mountain> C C Rider ; To Lay Me Down.

From the Philadelphia Spectrum on 10/20/89, we have the end of the show, featuring Space > I Will Take You Home> The Other One > Wharf Rat ; Sugar Magnolia, Brokedown Palace. This was part of the era when the Grateful Dead were recording to 24-track analog tape for the Without A Net album project, and many archival releases since then.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.

Sounds a little slow to me. Dave if you pitch-correct these early eighties show's they would sound a lot better.
