Welcome to our first full week of programming of 2017 here at the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have music from 1970, 1971 and 1972.
Our first stop this week is on 4/12/70 at the Fillmore West in San Francisco, where we have the end of the show from the final night of a four night run:Black Peter, Uncle John's Band, It's A Man's, Man's, Man's World, Viola Lee Blues > Feedback.
Next is a cool sequence from 4/13/71 in Scranton, PA, where we have Truckin' > Drums> Good Lovin'. This tour was a fun time for the Grateful Dead, as it was a return to the original 1965-1967 lineup of the band after Mickey left two months earlier.
Lastly this week is the music from the second show in London on the Europe 72 tour, from 4/8/72 at Wembley Empire Pool, featuring Bertha ; Me And My Uncle ; Mr. Charlie; Dea; Black Throated Wind ; Next Time You See Me ; Cumberland Blues ; Brown Eyed Women ; Beat It On Down The Line ; Tennessee Jed; Playing In The Band ; Good Lovin'.
