OK - I rarely do this, but I'm just sayin', while I absolutely respect everyone's right to whine, complain, criticize, and express your opinion, etc etc etc, after 40 years of loving this music, I don't appreciate the ungrateful Deadheads. Some of you are my friends. But I don't give a rat's ass about your opinions. Your comments suck.
I didn't like it when Jerry was zoned out, I didn't like it when Donna sang off key, I thought Keith had his moments but wasn't the world's greatest keys player, and I didn't always like Bobby's caterwauling. And on and on.
But I am a very grateful Deadhead. Thanks to everyone of the family for all you do. And the art, just like the music, is just fine. Period. I'm just sayin'. Rave on.
I love the logo and the colors are great! It would be cooler if the series were called "Dave's Faves" though. This cover totally suggests a great Space jam so I will look forward to that!
Oh come on, the art is fine. When people say it's not up to.... are you kidding me? How about up to Dick's Picks?????
I'm looking forward to the new offerings.
Thanks for the new cover peep, but...Where's the Dave's tune tease?
(btw...I agree...the packaging has been too tight...I hope there is a remedy.)
And it isn't, but the cover does touch on what was happening at that time.
Embrace it, I know fur sure that I was blind all the time I was learning to see...
I like it!
My biggest concern is the type of case itself! I have emailed Dave regarding this, suggesting that the Dick's Picks cases were just fine, while the Road Trips...well.
I urge all to email with the same concern..if it is a concern, of course.
PLEASE bring back DIGI PACKS for the protection of the CDs.
Thanks again.
P.S. The cover art is cool.
Looks like it's the same artist (Scott McDougall) that did " To Terrapin, Hartford 77" (05/28/77)
sweet peaches, folks. the THIRD comment in is a complaint about the cover art. (and more of the same.)
do you buy these offerings to listen to GD, or do you buy them solely for the cover art?
It's about the music, people. The music.
Besides, the E72 vol 2 has the WORST cover ever, with that ugly-ass ice-cream kid. (I DO appreciate the drop in the lower left). The back cover is much better with that UAICK on a chopper.
If you don't like the cover, transfer the discs to a generic CD case and make your own artwork for it.
THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC, GD/RHINO/UNCLE PIGNOSE/WHOEVER.
"Here is a ticket for the time machine of GD glory." "eww, look at the font on the ticket. I don't like it."
drunk on burgundy WHINE.
Just had another listen to the Lazy>Supp from the forthcoming Dave's Private Reserves Vol. 1. And then another.
Dang.
Send it to me wrapped in butcher paper, I don't care. Just bring it on!
I bought the subscription as a Christmas present to myself. Did you hear me, Dave? I intended for myself to have Volume 1 by December 25th. I hope that works with you schedule. : ))))))
This would look great on an LP cover. I would love to spin this on my turntable. There's not enough live Dead on vinyl.
