Gather up your musical tribe and let your creativity flow, visually and vocally. You just might find the fruits of your labor featured right here on Dead.net during the month of February. Simply upload your video to YouTube and tag it "DeadCoversProject." We'll also make it available to view on the band's official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/gratefuldead throughout the month.
Cause it's all too clear we're on our own.....
Indianapolis band, Pushing Daisy's covering Fire on the Mountain. Full band!
Great jam from Pushing Daisy's
Nobody at the helm.
I've emailed multiple people at Dead.net, Webmaster & the GD Youtube channel many days ago. I included a note to forward to the appropriate persons in charge.
Not a single response.
The GD Youtube DCP Channel was updated March 2.
So I noticed a video on the GD DCP Youtube Playlist (now ranking at #55) that is not remotely connected the the GD or DCP in any way other than the title contains the words "dead", "covers" and "project".
Apparently humans were not involved in adding that video to the list so maybe some sort of algorithm at work here?
Every day there are more questions about the DCP and how it works and never any answers.
Although this page doesn't reflect it, and by this point nobody was expecting anyone to update it, GratefulDead@em-dead.net says,
<<"THAT'S A WRAP: DEAD COVERS PROJECT 2017
You did it again! You came at us with so many lively and innovative Grateful Dead covers during the month of February. We were most certainly overwhelmed with good vibes and you will be too when you check out our massive DEAD COVERS PROJECT 2017 playlist.">>
So that was it....complete with the auto-robo included video that has nothing to do with the DCP.
Considering all the hard work and effort all these folk have put into their videos, one would hope there was some sort of human interest and overseeing of this project.
Many of us have knocked, but nobody at GD.net has ever answered the door.
