The real thrill of the Grateful Garcia Gathering is the return of Melvin Seals & JGB for TWO NIGHTS! David Kemper (one of the original drummers of the Jerry Garcia Band, and Bob Dylan) will be joining Melvin Seals & JGB. The 3G's just wouldn't be complete without a musical cohort and true friend of Jerry's to be part of these wonderful festivities. Melvin Seals and David Kemper are longtime friends of Jerry Garcia. The vision of the Grateful Garcia Gathering is to keep the spirit of Jerry Garcia's music alive by bringing the music and the Deadhead fans together as family! Opening for Melvin Seals & JGB (For Two Nights) is the Grateful Dead's Donna Jean Godchaux, Mookie Siegel of the David Nelson Band (and formerly a member of both Phil & Friends and Ratdog), Wendy Lanter of Hope in Time, and Jeff Mattson, Tom Circosta, Klyph Black and Dave Diamond, all of the Zen Tricksters, now create music together as "Donna Jean and The Tricksters." MoonAlice is a powerful and talented bunch of musicians many of you have seen and heard jamming throughout jamband scene! This new band will open be opening for "Donna Jean and The Tricksters," featuring Roger & Ann McNamee (The Flying Other Brothers), Barry Sless (pedal steel and lead guitarist from the David Nelson Band, Phil Lesh and Friends, Kingfish, Cowboy Jazz, The Rowan Brothers (Peter, Lorin & Chris), Pete Sears (Rod Stewart, Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna, John Lee Hooker, Steve Kimock, Jerry Garcia), G.E. *NEWS* Hey everyone, the new home for the Grateful Garcia Gathering is now at Legend Valley www.LegendValley.net , just 20 minutes East of Columbus Ohio! We are totally excited about this great move to Legend Valley just for the fact that the Grateful Dead actually graced the venue with a performance back on June 11th 1993, and Ratdog 2000!

Legend Valley's (formerly Buckeye Lake Music Center in Ohio) owner Steve Trickle has been in contact with the organizers of the Grateful Garcia Gathering - Tim Sundog Corcoran and Anthony Lee, since last January about the possibility's of holding it at Legend Valley, a place where the Grateful Dead performed June 11th 1993. Steve said, "This would be the natural setting for the Grateful Garcia Gathering to be held each summer". The agreement was made by a mere handshake, and a smile! The 3G's is always set to date in between Jerry Garcia's birthday August 1st, and his untimely passing of August 9th. The Grateful Garcia Gathering is scheduled for Jerry Garcia's birthday weekend of July 31st - August 2nd 2008.

Legend Valley is Ohio's #1 camping, music outdoor amphitheater. Its also home to Hookahville, Cabin Fever Festival, and Built to Last. Many great artists have graced the stages at Legend Valley such as The Grateful Dead, Ratdog, Bruce Hornsby, David Grisman, Arlo Guthrie, Ekoostik Hookah, Blue Travelers, Willie Nelson, Leon Russell, AC/DC, Waylon Jennings, just to name a few!

Finding your way to the Valley is pretty easy. Legend Valley Concert Venue and Campground is located just off I-70 in Thornville Ohio, about 25 miles east of downtown Columbus, Ohio.
