A Time for Healing and Reflection . . .

(((MK)))

to grow is to change...

to change is to be willing...

to be willing is to accept...

to accept is to surrender....

to surrender is to be in touch with infinite wisdom...

to be in touch with infinite wisdom is to listen...

to listen is not speak when truly listening...

FUCK CANCER

Mark wrote: >>i have been diagnosed with a cancer of the throat. it can apparantly be a tuff kind to fight, but the good news is that it's "extremely well contained". everything looks really good for getting thru this with hard work and a good attitude. we'll be using chemo, radiation, surgery, accupuncture and any/all the other healing methods that make themselves available. we're gonna breed a multi-headed dragon to help me heal this thing!>>

Mark- We never met yet

I'm 6 yrs into a squamous cell cancer journey that we found Memorial Day weekend 2001. It was in the fossa (root) of the left tonsil that was removed when I was 6 yrs old. Neck resection, Radiation (they really fried me but it works),my own and other people's prayers and all my AA and church buddies, lots of work and the music. Many shows to go- one show at a time. This morning there were 3 of us head and neck cancer bozos at my AA homegroup meeting. Gave them a bit of your situation. We will survive. Everyone doing well and we send our love. Listen to the doc's ( they know the way) and pray for patience.

Went to see the Dawg in Milwaukee Thursday. Danced my ass off and howled at the moon. thinking of all of us standing on the moon

No Dog Without Karan

Kimock can't hold a candle to Karan. It's a style conflict that doesn't jive with what RatDog has become. Kimock has a lounge jazz feel to his sound. Saw the show at the Greek in LA. Just not the same without Mark. I had to listen to Mark's stuff when I got home just to get back in the groove. May he return soon and abide. His playing is inspired, melodic, trippy, extraterrestrial, moving, way out and just plain in sync psychedelic rocking. The band is in a different mode and direction without his locomotion. Good vibes...good vibes....good vibessssssss.........to him.
