Grate view of the Columbia River in Washington, south of the Gorge Amphitheater. Tall wind turbines are in the far distance on the west side (left) of the river...

Lotsa windsurfers further down the river

I agree Gypsy Cowgirl: Oregon, Washington and Idaho have so much beautiful scenery. I have a friend in Hood River who does a lot of wind-surfing on the Columbia as it approaches Portland

I am ready for another show at the Gorge

How about it guys, next summer? Perfect spot for the Dead. Have seen Phil, Dylan, and String Cheese here for a show; The Other Ones and the Dead here plus many others.

HEY NOW Gr8ful Ted

NOW, my hubby's childhood friend lives in Hood River. Wouldn't THAT be something if it's the same person....oh, wait-he's not a wind surfer-a sailer, though & worked @ the ski lodge for years......."NOW wait a minute" (didn't Pigpen used to say that in songs?) hubby says they may have done some, but not alot. I guess how could you not wind surf up there? It's so cool. (I didn't dare-horses, bicycles, swimming & walking only for me) & YEH, great idea, Hal R-the Gorge in the summer-we'd go 4 sure. That'd be fun-we could all meet........I'll see what I can muster up........haha.....xoxoxo Gypsy Cowgirl
