The annual KPFA Grateful Dead marathon, produced and hosted by David Gans, is a fundraiser for America's first listener-sponsored radio station and a station whose history has been entwined with the Dead's since before the band was born. KPFA has broadcast many GD shows from the Greek, Oakland Coliseum, NYE and others, and of course, is the home of the weekly program Dead to the World.
