this was her last show. She is the one in pink. She was the sweetest person in the world. She was so sick from her cancer, but came to the show and danced the whole time. It was the best time, I'm so glad she made it to that show. I miss her every minute of every day !!
So sorry for your loss. Comfort and joy for her spirit. My brother and I have gone to many shows together too, so we share the sibling / Dead bond with you and Patty. Tonight he sees Ratdog in St. Paul in 4 hrs. 27 min without me but with a fellow Deadhead friend of ours of 30 years.
May Patty be dancing to the show too. Peace sister.

I too lost a brother, 3-10-03, someone who paved the way for me. John helped me find the energy of the Dead's meaning, even though we only shared one show. His stories of the SF scene excited my imagination, and we got closer as the years went by even though we always found ourselves in different places. He left behind a sweetness and kindness and his own brand of music, on which I was raised. Even with what I feel I know about the Soul's journey, the years have been hard for me because I've seen it as loss. Lately though I've gotten to maybe where you are in understanding & I've been able to listen again to what he left behind, and I now feel the joy of his presence in my life. Love to you Gratefulmom, for sharing that feeling of your cosmic connection to Patty, and knowing that she, like John, are now part of the Grateful Dead...A glimpse of John's music @ Dogs Attract Lightning on myspace, enjoy if you go. May our souls find the Peace of those who've gone before to show us the way...StStephen
I looked up this morning and up way up high in the clouds I saw what appeared to be a girl dancing...
