WOW-like your van. If I find a pix of my old VW van-it was a '72 I think & no windows on the sides (like a delivery van) . Seemed to scream to the cops "pull me over" -the back tail lights were 4" too high. Any excuse for them. Guess they didn't like my stickers either....haha..........Heater never worked well, but it was fun....xoxo Gypsy Cowgirl

Very Nice

Cool. I used to have a 72, same color, wish I still had it. My friend had a 68 bus. Heater box rotted out. Middle of winter you had to have all the windows open or you would pass out from the exhaust fumes. Thanks for posting, brings back good memories.

Loving your Bus

Thanks for the picture....really nice to open this one. I had a '68 that I bought in like '75 and kept until '89. I lived from '73 to '82 on the northshore of Lake Tahoe and that bus did me fine with snowtires in the winter. The engine in the back gave me the weight I needed where I needed it. I never chained up once althought I will admit to hitchhiking to work when I knew I should be in a four wheel drive. I loved my bus and miss it. You are living every flower childs' dream. And don't forget that spare clutch cable. Peace & Music .

Pile of shit when I bought

Pile of shit when I bought it. Rebuilt and on the road for 5 years. Constant work....
Fun ride, Brody loves going for a bus ride.
