  • St. Stephen
St. Stephen quilt, mainly hand-pieced and hand-appliqued, with a bone rose in Stephen's hands, wishing well with a golden bell, bucket hanging clear to Hell where there are embroidered skeletons, Calliope woman (muse of poetry) reading a book called "Curious Sense," high green chilly winds, shafts of lavender, ivy, manzanita, William Tell and speeding arrow. I took the image of Stephen from a reliquary of the first St. Stephen, who was stoned to death. I had fun with this one!

    St. Stephen quilt
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, "Dark Star: Transitive Nightfall of Diamonds" is my picture. I'll upload a bigger picture in the fan photos soon. My "China Cat Sunflower" has already been posted. I've also done a "Scarlet Begonias." Some day I'll do a "Dead Man's Hand" using all the references to cards in Dead songs. The quilt is about 5' by 3 1/2' and it took me about a year or so to make it.

Wow, I love it.Have you done one for Dark Star or any others? If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. Wiliam Blake
