This show is way memorable for me for two reasons:
Spencer Davis and Mr. Bill
The complete surprise and the awesomeness of Spencer Davis being introduced by the band and playing that night is a night I will never forget and running into Mr. Bill after seven years is the Other One...we met Mr. Bill at the 1982 Red Rocks shows...a very loooong and funny story but in the seven years in between, Mr. Bill and I both left Denver and I had lost track of him...I was living in St. Louis and I had no idea where Mr. Bill was on the planet...among many things, Mr. Bill was a taper...so I flew out from St. Louis to Los Angeles, on business and arranged to get a ticket for this show and worked my whole business schedule so I could go to this show...I got there early as always...wandered around the Lot and bought a tie-dye shirt from a very cool vendor (I still wear this shirt to this day) and began to walk, circling the Forum randomly...on about the second circuit around the Forum, walking in the other direction was Mr. Bill and two friends...we both fell out with joy and happiness at re-connecting with each other...we have NEVER lost touch since...Mr. Bill and I continue to visit each other when we get the chance and stay in touch...a very good night and show
Love the memory! SD came out on the last night which I couldnt attend (I think becasue of work or something silly like that) I saw the first two nights 12/8 & 9 Im sure we passed each other... Eric
I went to the 10th notes and I had revisited it already... Somes you get shown the light...
