    The 2011 Grateful Dead Almanac

Hard to believe, but we’ve been rolling out the Grateful Dead Almanac for about 18 years now, carrying on a time-honored tradition of keeping Dead Heads up to date on the latest developments in this still-evolving and vital musical and social community. But with this issue of the Almanac, you’ll notice something a little different. As in, it’s not made of paper. Yes, here in the second decade of the 21st Century (and after a bit of screaming and kicking), we’ve had to make our peace with some fundamental and inevitable changes in the ways that people receive and utilize information.

We now proudly present the first ever all-digital Grateful Dead Almanac. In it, you'll find the traditional tales of our beloved band members and the community, an in-depth survey of the year's finest releases, and plenty of the goods & gifts you've come to love, right alongside brand new features like exclusive videos, games, photo galleries, streaming music and so much more.

On the go? Visit the almanac on your mobile device, including iPhones, iPads and Androids, where you can swipe your way through a tailor-made digital book, complete with all the extras that extra features this year's almanac has to offer. You can even save the almanac to your home screen just like a regular app. Stay tuned for more information on how to get the official Almanac app in the iTunes store and in Android stores in the coming weeks.
