Little Feat Keyboardist Bill Payne Solo Tour

Dead Heads will have two reasons to check out Little Feat keyboardist Bill Payne's May solo tour. Many will know that he has recently collaborated with Robert Hunter - four songs by them, including the title tune Rooster Rag, are on last year's Feat album. In fact, the duo are now up to 15 songs together, and many of the newest are part of Bill's solo show. In addition, Grateful Dead publicist and biographer Dennis McNally will open the show with what he calls "weird - and you know that's a positive adjective in the G.D. world" tales of the Dead. The May tour includes shows at Mill Valley's Sweetwater on May 8th (expect guests!), Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz 5/9, The Assembly, Sacramento, 5/10, The Mint, Los Angeles, 5/11, The Coach House, San Juan Capistrano, 5/12, The Belly Up, San Diego, 5/14, The State Room, Salt Lake City, 5/16, Pac-3, Carbondale, CO, 5/17, Swallow Hill, Denver, 5/18, The Top Hat, Missoula, 5/21, Alberta Rose Theatre, Portland, OR, 5/23, and The Triple Door, Seattle, 5/24.
