    Now Available: GarciaLive Volume 2

GarciaLive Volume Two captures the classic latter-era lineup of the Jerry Garcia Band in the very familiar surroundings of the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. Recorded during a fruitful period for the band, which has resulted in two previous releases (Jerry Garcia Band and How Sweet It Is), this show features a guest appearance by acclaimed banjo player Bela Fleck to kick off the second set with a fiery rendition of "Midnight Moonlight" and an otherworldly adventure on the Jimmy Cliff classic, "The Harder They Come." You can learn more about this release and pick it up at JerryGarcia.com/Store. It is also available at iTunes, Amazon, and record stores everywhere.

this release is a welcome edition to the collection. Wonderful performance and recording. The Bela Fleck addition is icing on the cake.

I got to see two Jerry Garcia Band shows, 11/22/91 Rosemont Horizon in Chicago and 11/23/91 Bradley Center in Milwaukee. I had front row tickets I had purchased through Ticketmaster for a Jerry Garcia Band show that was supposed to take place on either 9/12/89 or 9/14/89 at Pine Knob, but was cancelled. I was bummed that I couldn't attend either Alpine Valley from 9/15/89 or Poplar Creek from 9/16/89.
