Grateful Dead Hour no. 1115

By David Gans

Week of February 1, 2010

This week's program continues the complete unreleased Grateful Dead performance of August 10, 1982 in Iowa City - an excellent show - plus a track from the great, great Garcia Band release with Nicky Hopkins on piano, Let It Rock.

Enjoy!

Long and Lost

OK been years since i listened to Dead and now have gotten back into them. My problem is no more tapes and only couple of cds. How can i get back started building a CD collection. Just got a copy of first amsterdam show from europe 81, one show and one set of second show, and berkley in 7(?) /84.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

also is there a way of copying the radio hour shows?

I remember when i was

I remember when i was 'Turned On', and i had started getting Maxells, someone helped me start out, I sent them like a dozen or so Maxells, the kynd dude gave me a good variety of shows... 2-9-73 , 5-8-77, 8-27-72, and this was among that group.

Man, wouldn't it be nice to have a fresh Virgin Mind again, and listen to these shows again for the first time..

I know exactly what you

I know exactly what you mean. It is strange, when you get in the zone, listening to a far-out show, you have that feeling of your mind being so expanded, just feels like you can walk in and buy the winning lottery..

At the same time, its probably a good thing it doesn't work that way.. i truly believe that money is the root of all evil...

Can't complain! Just love to keep on spinning to the music!!

Gonna Listen to the River Sing Sweet Songs, to Rock my Soul..
