Jared Austin asked for this one. "I just cant get enough of what I call 'Dirty Dead,'" He wrote. "Those early blues drenched jams and especially the rarities like 'Hey Little One' just make me smile from ear to ear." He ain't the only one!
Dick Latvala brought me this orphan reel, and it is indeed some great stuff from the early days. Enjoy!

Here comes...
Th best Here comes Sunshine ever!!!!
Thanks for the '66 gems, DL.
The Best
Not only do I think this version is the best Here Comes Sunshine ever, but for my taste, it is my all-time favorite stand-alone tune the Dead ever performed. Whenever I turn someone on to the Dead, this the first thing I play. It almost always works.
I love "Hey Little One"
Jerry sounds so young and innocent on "Hey Little One". It's my favorite early Grateful Dead performance. Glad to see it got an official release on Rare Cuts and Oddities...
Great selection!!!
Wow soo cool... A great follow on to the Kingfish and
a Garcia Band bootleg Tapes that I was listening to on the way
home from my gig last night...
There was a Next Time You See Me and a Stealin' on those
tapes as well... and I thought.... Wow been a long time since
I heard those...
Now this Hey Little One on this week's hour....
Well I have never heard that before and it is a real treat...
Thanks again and keep'm coming....
cheers
Woody.... "she's on the road again" to Denver next week for me....
Take care and stay in touch...

LA's Ivar Theatre - matches up w/SBD source > DAT. Best sounding '66 I've heard, pristine on QuickTime, and MUCH appreciated on a dreary grey day. Just a touch of mojo hand. DtM
