Grateful Dead Hour no.267
By David Gans
Week of November 1, 1993
This week's archival GD Hour was originally broadcast the week of November 1, 1997 and introduced the Dick's Picks series of live concert releases. Latvala, who had been the Dead's vault archivist for eight years, was so excited that the organization was finally starting to release music from the archive.
Enjoy!

Excellent selections, LBC. I'll put 'em in the queue!
...that you're ok again David. It must have been quite a strange experience and (although it's easy to be wise after the event) probably good evidence for not ignoring symptoms!! Stay healthy and don't work the bike too hard.
Could I put in a request for some GDHours? I'd love to hear any/all of the following: 721 and 722 (Steppin' Out promo episode), 843 (GD Movie Soundtrack interview) and 1090 (to hear the remixed version of Dark Star on the Woodstock compilation).
I'm keen for any other new release/interview-type shows you'd be willing to upload. Of course, I'm sure I'll enjoy anything you feel like uploading.
Thanks as always David.
... what Dick Latvala would think of the way the "good folks" at Rhino are releasing the music nowadays.
Wow good to hear Dick's voice again! I am so glad someone decided to get the music out to the people like Dick. Awesome music!! Thanks.
Keep on Truckin'
Really swell program . Dick L was quite a passionate individual .
Im currently listenting to the blistering O1 from Lemieuxs Waterbury 72 music this week ; just incredible .
This program you aired in early Nov in 39 was great . The interview and the visionary and powerful music you previewed on the program . That Stella is definitely the GOODS . Peace
** I heard this pick initially in 1994 , through a friend in my other Iowa home , which is my other home , beacuse Chile is supposedly my home as well , and years passed until in 2005 i acquired this as a Rhino re edition . Glad it was re issued - really glad . I probably listen to it once a month , intensely . Now .. hearing your highlights from this broadkast , ill be checking out the Stella more often . Thanks

Thanks David. I'll keep a look out.
I'm gradually working my way through all the GDHours you've uploaded. The beauty is, if you broadcast one and upload one a week and you won't catch up to yourself!
