I saw the GD twice only, and they were the last two shows, in my hometown, Chicago. I was in high school then, and the experience changed my life (understatement). In the years before that show and the heady years after, your show always accompanied me. I remember, though, 1 show in particular, a show that I taped, copied, wore out, and eventually lost. The ghost of a melody from that show has stayed with me through these years (I can hum it PERFECTLY). At the time it was probably my first Goin' Down the Road, but I've often reflected upon it as being the BEST of my life. The lilting finisher by Jer is what I'm after. Delicate, sublime ending - It makes my skin tingle just to think of it. I haven't heard it all these years, but I'm pretty sure the Dead Hour was 384, October 18 1974, based on your comprehensive on-line archive. If there are any holes in the schedule, I would LOVE to hear that lick again.... -Tyler Hartz
