The bottoms of our shoes are

The bottoms of our shoes are only fine leather, so it is quite uncomfortable at first. Then of course there'sthe balance, which takes months cheap chicago the musical tickets and months of just walking laps, reverse and over and done, cheap come fly away tickets learning to properly sway your pole to keep yourself centered.

Aren't we all spoiled... now

I remember a day when I was fired up to get a genned out audience tape with tons of hiss from just about any show. Now we are so picky, that we not only get the soundboard tapes, but we complain (week after week) that "this portion of the show is lame" or "why didn't you pick the second night instead of the third" or "how about some more 70's"..... I don't know about you, but from my vantage point there is more HQ stuff from the 70's out there than the 80's. I love the fact that we can hear fine quality stuff from all eras.... including the Brent and Vince years. I wonder how many of the folks so down on Dave Lemieux's picks, remember trading cassettes.

An earlier comment mentioned going to Pink Floyd's website to find their clip of the week......"oh yeah they don't give their fans stuff for free." I couldn't agree more. Be happy with what's on this site. It's a gift.

Another example I'll give is on Sirius Radio....Check out the Springsteen Channel "E Street Radio" - they play live concerts with some sorry quality, like the worst audience tapes ever. But in that world, Springsteen Nerd Guy is stoked to listen to poor quality tapes recorded on a boombox with normal bias tapes and crappy mics. "Hungry Heart" recorded from the bathroom on the concourse behind the stage on 10 dollar mics. It sounds so bad you wander if it was from Springsteen's shortwave radio broadcast series.

Deadheads are picky, I'm one of 'em..... but don't lose site that Dave is bringing us high quality stuff of shows that I used to never see circulate as a cassette trader 20 years ago. We are just judging the dead in 1984 against what the Dead did in 1973 or 1977. I will take the Grateful Dead over just about anything else, even the tunes from tours that 'snob guy' felt was "uneven."

Complaining

I am confused... This is a forum... People post their opinions... I think, as long as people are respectful and avoid name calling... Posting their opinion is what this is here for... So, folks... Enjoy the music... Tell everyone how you feel, and do not waste time complaining about people having a different opinion then yours...

Just my point of view...

Thanks... For all the amazing music... I am always happy to hear more Dead!

Once I got a banana for free...

... and all that I could do was complain about how it wasn't an apple. I was so upset, that I threw that banana right into my neighbor'e face and demanded APPLES, DAMINT! APPLES! I don't even like bananas; they are boring.

jam is where you find it

to missquote a pop culture icon, oft-times denigrated on this site.
This Sugaree has star quality and compares favorably to the 12/28/78 show opener, and could someone point out to me what's to complain about with the marm in the middle of Birdsong?

Course if the situation were different it would be about now that long timers would be clamoring for Samba after booing it back in the day. Just like Disco Dead.

Go ask Alice

"I'm sure I'll take you with pleasure!" the Queen said. "Two pence a week, and jam every other day."
Alice couldn't help laughing, as she said, "I don't want you to hire ME – and I don't care for jam."
"It's very good jam," said the Queen.
"Well, I don't want any TO-DAY, at any rate."
"You couldn't have it if you DID want it," the Queen said. "The rule is, jam to-morrow and jam yesterday – but never jam to-day."
"It MUST come sometimes to 'jam to-day'," Alice objected.
"No, it can't," said the Queen. "It's jam every OTHER day: to-day isn't any OTHER day, you know."
"I don't understand you," said Alice. "It's dreadfully confusing!"

Stop your bitching, people!

For God's sake people, stop your bitching! Would some of you numbskulls be happier if they changed the title to "Clip of the week"?

And to the guy last week stating that there are tastier bits from summer '85 that could have been chosen - REALLY? I'm just sick and tired of people that are never satisfied with things that are provided to them absolutely free of charge. Drop your sense of entitlement! Why don't you go to Pink Floyd's website and check out their live clip of the week? What - they don't have one? Why not? Oh, that's right.....because they do not give their music to their fans for free.

nice to see them do a nod to Jon M with this choice. At least that's my opinion :)
