March 25 – March 31

Every Friday we'll be sending you off with a Jam Of The Week, hand-picked and delivered by tape archivist David Lemieux. Listen to it on the weekend. Listen to it at work. Listen to it all day long...but make sure you tune in or you'll miss out because these little nuggets will stream for ONE WEEK ONLY!
Sweet singing from Jerry on the Cryptical reprise, and casually brilliant transition from there into Uncle John's ~ kind of a perfect microcosmic metaphor for the band's musical transition at this moment. I love this period where the fully juiced psychedelia is side by side with the Americana, both still in full inspired bloom but one making more and more room for the expanding other.
And thanks, Bear, that we have this time capsule to enjoy. And David, thanks for sharing it!

Hey burnsy,
Check out Dick's Vol.4
2/13,14,1970
Recorded by Bear
blow your mind...
who ARE these guys?
February 13 1970 I think
The sound quality on this is VERY good. I usually don't care much for Cryptical, but it was fantastic.
Does anyone remember the date of the 1970 Jam of the Week from 2 or 3 weeks ago? I want to try and track down a copy, but I can't remember the date.
Hey Man,
I could be wrong but
sounds like a recording by the late great Stanley Owsley
Finest kind well played
Diggin' the percussion
