Get The Grateful Dead – Europe ’72: Rock Prodigy™ App
Grab Your Guitar And Jam Along With The Dead!
Whether you are picking up a guitar for the first time or are a long-time rocker, the Grateful Dead – Europe ’72: Rock Prodigy™ will improve your skills as you play along, note-for-note, to Jerry Garcia’s guitar. The app acts as your personal music teacher, walking you through songs from the legendary tour and providing feedback as you hit each note.
In addition to featuring iconic songs like "Jack Straw," "Ramble on Rose," and "Sugar Magnolia," professional Rock Prodigy® lessons are included in the app to get you started with beginner lessons ranging from holding a guitar to groovy rhythms, chords, and scales. Every song has multiple skill levels and uses the actual re-mastered, live-recorded tracks. Take a trip back to 1972 with the band and jam alongside as they journey throughout Europe. Start off by learning the basic rhythms and chord progressions and work your way up to soloing along with Jerry!
Hey, this looks very nice and I would certainly purchase the app if you develop it for Windows Phones.
Sugaree is ready to go!
Grateful Dead - Europe ’72: Rock Prodigy
Thanks Rock Prodigy: Nice to know the people behind it are as user-friendly and impressive as the technology itself!
Uncle John's Band recorded at the Lyceum Theatre, London, England is now available in the Europe '72 app!
Forgot to mention that in the near future we may also be able to do "updates" to the current songs to reflect the approach that we have been discussing!
The Rock Prodigy Guitar Team just met and there was a unanimous agreement with your feedback. I think we originally thought it would be great to save the last level for a note-for-note transcription of Jerry's parts, but like you said, sometimes it just makes more sense to switch it up. We are going to take this approach going forward. The guys also want you to know that we are treating the transcriptions with a lot of love and respect to the Grateful Dead and the fans and we really appreciate your input.
We will also look into how we can improve song selection based on performance. Please let us know if you have any requests from the Europe '72 tour!
Thanks again for the great feedback!

Thanks for the thoughtful and helpful feedback! The transcription team is going to meet today to discuss your recommendations and talk about how we can improve the playing experience.
Thanks again and please keep the feedback coming so we can make the app as great as it can be!

Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad is now live in the Europe '72 app. Enjoy!
I have an acoustic guitar with pick ups. I have been playing for 4 years but am probably as good as someone who has been playing for a year or two. Hey I have a job and a baby and lots of other stuff. Anyway this works great on my ipad2. Tip it is very sensitive to the sound (that is a good thing), so use the built in tuner. I tuned my guitar myself and it was picking up the low e fine but not the f on the low e string. I tuned with the device and it is perfect now. 2nd play with the controls. You can to 1/2 speed. I am doing the part in jack straw where it goes e d b minor a. I just kept doing it a few times.
Here is where it gets weird for me. Easy is for someone who just picked up their first guitar. Great learning tool. Medium is a nice step. Hard is a huge jump from medium. I wish there was a level between. Prodigy is for an accomplished guitarist.
Best app I have ever purchased. I wonder if they will break out songs outside of Europe 72. I can play ripple, standing on the moon, so many roads and a few others. It would be great to be playing with the band on here.
I purchased the 72 box set and started listening to it on 4/7. Wow. I now understand why some people refuse to listen to anything after 72. Dark star and the other one at their finest. Pigpens good lovin and love light are stretched out in new ways. Playin is not too long. I like 13 minutes of playing. Anything after 72 was too long for me. I heard Betty boards of all these shows before but the box set is amaziing. Going in order really allows you to watch them grow. My only complaint against the box set is black throated wind. I hate that song and they play it at every show.
Anyway if you have a guitar by the app. You don't need to plug in for it to work
We accidentally "turned on" Uncle John's Band & One More Saturday Night in the in-app store yesterday, BUT they are not ready to go live. We still need to finished the transcriptions and coding for them so we can't make them live yet.
If you purchased either of them, you will get an "Error Message" when you try to play them. Please delete them for now and when they go live they will show up as "Purchased" and you will not be charged again.
They are both on the schedule for release this month.
Sorry for any inconvenience!
