Grateful Dead

Get The Grateful Dead – Europe ’72: Rock Prodigy™ App

Grab Your Guitar And Jam Along With The Dead!

Whether you are picking up a guitar for the first time or are a long-time rocker, the Grateful Dead – Europe ’72: Rock Prodigy™ will improve your skills as you play along, note-for-note, to Jerry Garcia’s guitar. The app acts as your personal music teacher, walking you through songs from the legendary tour and providing feedback as you hit each note.

In addition to featuring iconic songs like "Jack Straw," "Ramble on Rose," and "Sugar Magnolia," professional Rock Prodigy® lessons are included in the app to get you started with beginner lessons ranging from holding a guitar to groovy rhythms, chords, and scales. Every song has multiple skill levels and uses the actual re-mastered, live-recorded tracks. Take a trip back to 1972 with the band and jam alongside as they journey throughout Europe. Start off by learning the basic rhythms and chord progressions and work your way up to soloing along with Jerry!

Site App

I wrote DL about 2 years ago suggesting a GD app. It would be awesome to stream the Taper's Section or JotW on your phone. You could also shop or read the dead.net site content from your phone. A good example is the Phish app, not that big of a phan, but they do have a great app.

how about Android?

Thanks for the request for an Android version!

Google is currently having trouble processing real-time low latency audio. Hopefully this changes soon so Android users can start playing the app!

Like many other music software and rhythm game developers, we're hoping Google develops the support for real time audio in the near future.

you said it brother

An Android Bass version would be surreal...

And if you download now, it comes with 3 hits of blotter..
Trust me, it makes learning the songs that much easier...

Please make this available on

Please make this available on European iTunes also. I have Rock Prodigy but can't load this one.
So the app is not working? Wouldn't it be a real surprise if it did? They will get it together at some point. You just have to be patient. Lesson you have to learn if you want to be a deadhead.

looks like it was fixed

their support emailed me this reply:

"We've checked with our servers service provider, and they've told us that there has been intermittent problems with our cloud servers, yesterday, overnight and today. They've told us that the issues with the servers should be resolved.
Which means that everything should be working now.

If that app still quits out, can you try deleting it from your device, then re-downloading from the App Store?"

lo and behold, it worked!
hope this helps --
