Two magical, complete performances from Philadelphia in Fall '79, the basis for Road Trips, Vol. 1 No. 1. These Spectrum shows, 11/5/79 & 11/6/79, are now available in both FLAC and MP3; documenting the band in the midst of their sparkling three-week eastern swing and capturing the raw excitement of the first tours with keyboardist Brent Mydland.
Previously unreleased in their entirety, now you can hear both shows from start to finish. The 11/5 performance includes "China Cat" as the show opener and a standout set with "Eyes of the World > Estimated Prophet > Franklin's Tower." The next night features a 15-minute plus "Terrapin Station," along with an extended "Playin' in the Band" with solid contributions from keyboardist Brent Mydland.
This is a digital-only release, and you have the option of downloading each show separately (11/5/79 and 11/6/79), or saving 10% when you order the two full shows together!

Marye Thanks for Looking into Pitch issue
Please make sure that once corrected there are instructions on re-downloading for those of us that already purchased.
Much appreciated, Marty
Definitely a problem
So after spending hours downloading, burning to CDRs (5 maxell CD-R Pros) and then spending the time to import into iTunes I take a listen and there is definitely a speed issue. This is a major pain in the butt and of course costing more now that any fix will require a re-burn of 5 more CD-Rs... so much for the 10% savings for both... Hey I love the full shows and will purchase every time if I don't have them but how about a little quality assurance testing before making them available.....
Look forward to Mary's response on getting this fixed.
Thanks, Marty
guys...
and Marty in particular, I have passed your comments on and as soon as I have specific news I will post it. Stay tuned, and sorry for the trouble, which we are working on fixing.
speed issues/re-download
Yeah, I hope that for those of us who bought and downloaded immediately, there will be a way to re-download the corrected files.
I'm very psyched about these downloads and will continue to purchase full show downloads but don't want to deal with correcting this type of thing myself. I'm sure customer service will come through as they always do. I just got my corrected second disk from the Winterland box last week!
Thanks
Mary... thanks alot... the fact that you actually interact with us and even listen is a breath of fresh air in terms of customer service. Look forward to the ultimate resolution... Keep the shows coming!
Marty
Yes, we asked for them....assuming the pitch would be correct
Does this mean that the Road Trips v1n1 will get a pitch correction as well, or is that wishful thinking? And going forward, how about getting the pitch correct on future releases?
WINTERLAND BOX??!!!
I was not aware of any issues with disc 2 of the box. Please fill me in.

If you have not encountered any issues with your disc 2, no worries. Some people had defective disc 2s. If anyone is still having this issue, please send me a PM.
Help me please!!
Maybe there is someone here that can help! I downloaded both the shows the first that I saw them which was the first day I think since I use the GD page as a home page. Now I find that I am unable to download them to a disk, them I get some of the tunes but some come out 15 secs or less they are on my desktop despite about 8 attempts to download can you help me and what program should I get to do the job I currently have BearShare, Rhapsody and Realplayer but these just take hours and don't do the work at hand Can you help remembering that I am new user (old head but this is new to me) Please someone help me!!! Thanks
Why Are These Still for Sale?
If it's been verified that these files have an underlying problem, why are they still available for mass consumption?
I look forward to hearing the corrected files and hope that a fix is posted soon :) Hopefully, those of us who already paid for it will be allowed access as well.
