Legendary drummer Bill Kreutzmann, bassist Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers Band) and guitarist Scott Murawski (Max Creek) have joined together to form a POWER trio sure to capture the interest of music lovers of many genres of music.
Kreutzmann and Murawski were introduced in Costa Rica at a meeting facilitated by none other than PHISH bassist Mike Gordon. Their musical chemistry was limitless and compelling. Shortly after, Burbridge joined the band and it became obvious that the trio should pursue further musical adventures. The trio is currently working on a debut release slated for the fall of 2008. Jerry was one of the greatest guitarists who ever lived; while he was alive, I sometimes thought he was the best in the world. It's easy to bash him after he's dead and there's noone but the people who loved him to stand up for him and defend him. This is typical of the kind of big liars who go around spreading crap, and their dumb kids will believe them. Eat my shit Zarnzzo! Suck my dick if you know how!
Jerry
Sorry I have to agree on some of the Jerry comments, after 1986-1987 Jerry as they use to say about Keith in 1978-1979 was just"not there" I remember him standing on stage not even looking up, head down the whole show & just always looked "out there"...it was sad to see so that was it for me.
I love Jerry!
Admittedly, Garcia had increasing troubles remembering lyrics in the later years, but I can find a show for any year you want and show that he was still fantastic. I followed the Grateful Dead from 1980-1995 and I saw many earth shattering shows! Jerry's soul was bigger than his addictions and I surely sopped it up like gravy. Long live J.G. R.I.P.
this should
go back to being about billy's coming out again!!
peace
love
always
Billy
Glad to see everyone out touring. Could this be a precursor to something greater/grater?????
I dunno...
but having never gotten enough of Kokomo and Go Ahead, I wish Billy's new lineup would play the Bay Area!
Scott
Not a career tour junkie here. Saw 30 shows between 83 and 93. '88 was my personal favorite. Probably luck of the draw. Saw a few particularly hot shows that year and saw a couple real weak performances toward the end in '92/'93. But...as many other things in life Dead shows could be hit or miss. But anyways....wanted to jump on the Billy wagon....from the perspective of a Max Creek fan from the east. Billy did a radio interview with Scott in Mass. just before the debut performance of 3 in Northampton in March. BK talked about the show they did in Costa Rica w/Gordon on bass in January. Talked about how he'd finally found that guitar player that he wanted to play with for the forseeable future. So hopefully, you folks out west will get the opportunity. It's been written that they'll be releasing a CD this fall. Check this act out. I know Billy will be the larger draw but those who show up for that will get hit smack in the side of the head with the greatest guitar slinger this side of anywhere. I mean it. I've watched this guy play for 21 years and I honestly believe he is the best guitarist in the entire jam band scene. The guy just f'n shreds. You will be absolutely blown away. But don't take my word for it. Ask Billy. Or Mike Gordon. Gordon's been a Scott disciple since he was a kid.
Scott
the shows i have heard bear that out, he is a great Guitarist
