Lastly this week is the show-closing sequence from 7/22/84 at Ventura County Fairgrounds, the second night of a two night run, where we have Space> Morning Dew> Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away, Midnight Hour>Brokedown Palace.
Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
The crescendo of the final jam is so sick. Weir does this crazy ascending riff at the end that gets me every time! And the funny thing is we just drove past the scene of the crime and parked on the beach yesterday!
I was there. Thanks for this piece of history, even with the tape cuts in the songs. It's great to hear again !
