I remember those 87 spaces' being way out there, love it. Trucking is not my first pick to come out of a spacey space, but Wharf Rat and Throwing Stones makes up for it.

I sure wish these shows would get officially released....and not "only" available as part of a box set that costs hundreds of dollars.

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have music from 1969, 1970 and 1987.

Our first stop this week is on 11/7/69 at the Fillmore Auditorium, the night before the show that would become Dick’s Picks Vol. 16, where we have Next Time You See Me, Good Lovin' , China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider.

Next is music from a little over two months later on 1/18/70 in Portland, OR, where we have this classic batch of 1970 Grateful Dead, featuring Mama Tried, Cold Rain and Snow, Big Boss Man, Mason's Children, Black Peter, Dancing In The Street .

Lastly this week is the end of the second set from the final Grateful Dead concert at Ventura County Fairgrounds, on 6/14/87, featuring Space > Truckin' > Wharf Rat > Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
