December 26, 2016 - January 01, 2017
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where we’ll roll into 2017 with some Grateful Dead music from 1972, 1983 and 1988.
Our first selection this week is from the first show of what’s widely considered one of the best Dead tours in history, the Europe 72 tour. From 4/7/72 at Wembley Empire Pool (now Wembley Arena) in London, we have Black Throated Wind ; Loser ; Mr. Charlie ; Beat It On Down The Line ; Tennessee Jed ; Playing In The Band.
Next is the end of the show from 4/10/83 in Morgantown, WV, where we have Space> The Wheel > Playing In The Band> China Doll > Sugar Magnolia, US Blues.
Next is the end of the show from 4/5/88 in Hartford, where we have Space > I Need A Miracle > Wharf Rat > Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away, Knockin' on Heaven's Door.
Be sure to join us next week as we start 2017 with some great material from the vault.
Who is that? It comes in at the 30:30 mark and then cuts out at 31:10...
:-) just curious
a known problem and the tech folks are working on it as time allows.
When I try to access songs from the Taper's Section in page 8 onwards, I get 'corrupt file' or 'URL not found'. There's some amazing music on these pages - can anyone tell me if this is a temporary glitch or are the files just not accessible?
This is the first time I can remember intentionally skipping one of the taper section options. Primarily because I brought the full show of 4/7/72 in to work with me to listen to!
