    '74 show

The '74 show has a typo in its link. It has "77.mp3" (which points to the '77 clip. You need to substitute '74.mp3', and you'll get the right clip. As in: http://www.dead.net/sites/all/themes/dead2013/jplayer/?url=https://sos2… Cheers!

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1973, 1974, and 1977, all three jams starting with Truckin’, but all very, very different.

Our first stop this week is the show on 9/7/73 at Nassau Coliseum, the show that began the excellent three+ month run of shows that made up the Fall Tour(s) of 1973. From that show, we have Truckin'>Drums >The Other One Jam>Eyes Of The World > Sugar Magnolia, Around and Around.

Next up is music from Reno on 5/12/74, the first touring show of the Wall Of Sound, which had debuted on 3/23/74 at the hometown Cow Palace show. From Reno, we have this terrific sequence: Truckin'> The Other One> Row Jimmy.

Lastly this week is the show-closing and year-closing sequence from 12/31/77 at Winterland featuring Truckin' > Wharf Rat > Drums > Not Fade Away > Around And Around, One More Saturday Night>Casey Jones.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.

....the nerd in me would love to see more tapers sections around themes like this (jams out of truckin'). It allows us to hear how the Dead's sound developed, their approach to song structure and improvisation, and to their own repertoire. What becomes clear(er) is the good, the bad, and the ugly! But I know, I am a nerd, so just....keep on truckin'!

I agree with Simon. Player shows correct track listing for 74 show but it actually plays 77. 74 currently missing somewhere in space.....
