Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have music from 1979, 1980, and 1981.

Our first selection this week is from 11/25/79 UCLA, during a short California run of shows in San Diego and LA, where we have the start of the second set, featuring Shakedown Street> Bertha ; Looks Like Rain ; He's Gone > The Other One.

Next up is music from 11/26/80 in Pembroke Pines, FL, where we have the start of the second set, featuring Cold Rain And Snow ; Samson And Delilah ; China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider > Estimated Prophet>Eyes Of The World> Space. This was the first show after the five weeks of acoustic/electric 3-set shows at the Warfield and Radio City Music Hall, and they came back for this short four show tour of Florida and Atlant playing some terrific music.

Next is music from 11/30/81, featuring the entire first from a show in Dayton, OH: New Minglewood Blues ; Mack The Knife ; Bird Song > Little Red Rooster ; They Love Each Other ; Cassidy ; Tennessee Jed ; Let It Grow ; Don't Ease Me In. That’s the first and only Grateful Dead version of Mack The Knife, a song that they likely should have rehearsed before trying out in front of a crowd…

Be sure to stop by next week for more music from the vault.
