    Segments don't match?
I'm not sure if it's just my browser, but each segment seems to have the audio described in the one below it ... or in the case of Landover, it's the '73 music from Baltimore. Is it just me? Not a big deal, though, because all three are there ... somewhere! Rob

Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have a double dose of 1973, and some 1987 Grateful Dead music.

Our first selection this week is from 3/26/73 in Baltimore, MD, where we have the big second set jam of Truckin'>Jam>Wharf Rat>Me and Bobby McGee>Eyes Of The World>Morning Dew.

Next up is one of the best shows from one of the best tours in Grateful Dead history, the 10/25/73 concert in Madison, WI, featuring a great batch of prime second set Dead from 1973: China Cat Sunflower>I Know You Rider, Me and My Uncle, Dark Star>Mind Left Body Jam>Eyes Of The World>Stella Blue. This was the Dead's second visit to Madison in 1973, with the first show from February 15 also featuring a big Dark Star.

Lastly this week is the opening sequence from Mickey's birthday show on 9/11/87 at the Capital Center in Landover, MD, where we have Bertha >The Promised Land, Candyman,New Minglewood Blues, When Push Comes To Shove. This was the first night of a three night preceded the Dead's return to Madison Square Garden on 9/15/87 after a four year absence.

Be sure to stop by next week for more tunes from the vault.

Why wait until Monday, eh? Lovin' the '73, arguably their best year for creativity and performance. How about a double dose of Madison '73 in a future release?

I figured, "I'll try 9/11/87". I click on it, and the 3/26/73 show plays. It's a sign to me to stick with my instinctual GD. ever heard 3/1/70? Another gem.

That's one of the all-time great segments of Grateful Dead music right there.

Wrong song list, but lovely none the less. But the music abruptly stops and starts over about halfway through. Could be my machine, though. I probably need some sort of update.
