Tapers Section By David Lemieux

Greetings, and welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have music from 1974, 1977 and 1981.

Our first stop is 7/25/74 in Chicago, where we have the first part of the first set, featuring Me and My Uncle, Loose Lucy, Black Throated Wind, Loser, BIODTL, Sugaree, Mexicali Blues, Brown-Eyed Women, El Paso. That show-opening Me and My Uncle has some minor mix problems, but the sounds settles in nicely.

Next is music from the first night of a three night run in Passaic, NJ, on 4/25/77, with second set tunes featuring Terrapin Station>Playing In The Band>Drums>Jam>Wharf Rat>Playing In The Band, US Blues. This was the third show on the excellent Spring Tour 1977.

Lastly this week is some music from St. Louis on 7/8/81, where we have the start of the show: Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo > Feel Like A Stranger ; Peggy-O > Little Red Rooster.

Join us next week for more tunes from the vault.

This was one of those shows along with 6/20/74 that no one had back in the late 80's early 90's cassette trading days........

This show has a Dark Star. Gotta listen to it soon!

Also, kudos to the ptb for releasing 7/31/74. After a few attempts, I GOT it. Disc three has lots of aural flavors to enjoy.

Thank you for these selections, DL2.
