    Thanks To All
Decided to do a little math while listening to this week's selections.11/27-12/3/2006 was the first ever "Taper's Section" on Dead.Net. I have listened to every installment every Monday. At approx 1 hour (give or take) for each of the selections, that is over 80 days, at 24 hours a day, of Grateful Dead bliss. How lucky and truly blessed we are to have all this music available to us at any moment. I often chuckle to myself when people complain about what is, or isn't, released. Sure, I have my favorite shows/years, but I am always grateful to David Lemieux (and everyone else involved) for what they each do to keep the 50+ year trip alive! Can't wait for the next "announcement"......

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1977, 1981, and 1984.

Our first selection this week is the end of the first set from the final night of a five night run in New York City at the Palladium on 5/4/77, during the exceptional Spring Tour of 1977, where we have Cassidy ; Deal ; Looks Like Rain ; Brown Eyed Women ; Dancing In The Street.

Next is the start of the second set from 5/2/81 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, where we have this classic sequence: Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain ; Estimated Prophet > Terrapin Station.

Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 4/27/84 in Providence, RI, where we have this cool sequence of Playing In The Band> China Doll > High Time > Man Smart (Woman Smarter), featuring two beautiful Garcia-Hunter songs in a row.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
