I am a longtime songwriter/musician from the midwest. My band is the Derelicks. We've been around a long time but don't get out much. We have a song on our latest CD (our 4th)called, "Trouble at the Circus". It's a story song about the last days of the Dead with Jerry Garcia (summer of 1995). I was hoping to get some feedback from Dead Heads and other fans. I have recieved some positive opinions from some in the Dead Head community. The song is available (free download) at: www.thederelicks.com...Any feedback is always welcome....TC/derelicks
Hi, All! I have a new Dead tribute band and we're playing on Saturday in Auburn, MA. We're doing a pretty faithful recreation of the late 70's to early 90's Dead sound. Details of the show and recordings from our previous show are at www.fennario.us.
Please let me know what you think! I'm the bass player so any tips on being a better Phil would be appreciated!
We´ve been jamming since 1971 - still doin´ it these days with original members, making the experience very exiting. Still strang, too! I play basses...but occasionally fiddle and cornet, too. visit www.movio.se for more info! thanx!
I have been playing guitar and writing music since 1966. I am now putting together a new band and we are about to record a CD together. I play an acoustic-electric guitar and sing; I will have a bass and flute player and am still looking for a percussionist. My musical style is pretty much my own, but the Grateful Dead are one of my influences. In fact, I am arranging the mechanical rights so I can include a version of Franklin's Tower on the CD. I have also recorded a CD of originals in a rock style; I played all the instruments on that one. Songs can be heard at my website, which is listed below.
The wheel had great success up and down the east coast in the 90s. The band just did some recording made some very cool videos You can find them here on this page or on YouTube are music is rock and roll mixed with spacey jams and beautiful ballads. We try to approach each show without expectation. We try to let the music show us were to go,and go were the music brings us. :>) You can e-Mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org some videos
