Thanks to Trifecta for the title...

This topic is the continuation of the Channel Six topic http://www.dead.net/forum/i-turn-channel-six-president-comes-news

A few words based on recent experiences there. When expressing your opinions, please show respect for your fellow participants in the discussion who may not share them. Please refrain from demonizations, dismissal of people's beliefs as nonsense, etc. We are all bozos on this bus in one way or another.

Ya in 92 and 93+ Moe used to play in Buffalo NY and the Wet Lands Preserve on Canal Street. In NY. Rob went to the same high school as i did and grew up just down the street from a good friend of mine. They were bit older than we were but i remember they used to have parties etc. Anyway i am going on pure memory here. Also for some reason i remember seeing them at Hamilton college in Clinton NY (next town over where we used to hang out) around this time. There was a lot of great music going on then, such bands as ARU, Moon Boot Lover, Bella Fleck, and many more. Around 94-95 Mimi Fishman (John Fishman's (from Phish) Mother) used to have these jams in Utica New York, Syracuse, and Albany which would benefit glaucoma and all these bands Moe, Seapods, ARU, Moon Boot, etc would all play and ply and play. Yes i was underage but back then you could chalk your driver’s license very easily. Not sure if you can do that now. I was a bad kid and ended up getting kicked out of my High school my senior year!! (missed to many days and really did not listen to anyone) Ha ha. Anyway, back then i would rather travel around the North East seeing music and getting spun as much as possible. Ah the good old days!!!

Sold it to a friend of mine back in 97 and bought a 81 Volvo Sudan and drove it down to Marti Gras 97 (Jazz Fest is much better) and then back out to Colorado where i was living and when i arrived back in Summit County Colorado realized i had no where to live so had to live in the back seat of the Volvo for about 2 months and i was kicking myself in the ass for selling the Toyota! I had the van set up as a bachelor pad with beds, 2nd battery for the fan and radio, boom chick a boom. Last i heard it was still going strong. (But this was about 5 years or so ago).

By the way i had a Seapods Sticker, Moe Sticker, a sticker saying Icculus 96, Phish Sticker, and a picture of Jerry on the side window. Used ot have a Stealy but would get pulled over so much that i took it off. I do have pictures of the mighty Toyota. I will some how try to scan it and post it. But I am sure that if anyone mentions Toyota Man to any of the Seapods they would be very suprised. When Phish was not touring we used to travel around the US following them. Going to college towns all over the country and just partying and driving.

If you go to their space and address any of the original members of the Seapods (Max, Dana, Tom etc) and ask them if they ever heard of Toyota Man and his Partner in Crime Jon. Captain Trips Rain Forest Preserve (i used to work there in 94-95). Let me know their reaction. The last time i saw them was in 98 in Rochester NY when they played a small bar after Phish that night. Hope they are doing well.

Did any catch that Alber Hofmann died the other day. I wrote a reseach paper about him in high school. Of course my paper was not received very well but i put a lot of hours into writing it and "researching" the effects of his invention on ones perception of life. Interesting

After so many years of government prevention. One of the applications is to assist you with your last days of existence and many others. I am sure he went out in style. Yes with out Mr. Hofmann what would life have been like? It’s like one of those things that you say, what if Kennedy was never shot, or what if that projectile never hit the earth and caused the moon to form. It was one of those points in history that cause a huge ripple effect and here we are today chatting about it. Changed my life i will tell you that and i would not be where i am today if this moment in time never occured.
